We’re pleased to publish our annual report to tenants, residents and customers.
In the report we’ve focussed on we’ve done during the past year to deliver our core purpose, to help residents stay in their homes comfortably to live the life they chose.
Highlights include delivering our target of 123 new homes and increased investment in existing homes – last year we spent £3.8 million maintaining and improving homes with a particular focus on new boilers, windows, lifts and fire doors. During 2019/20, we plan to spend around £7.5million investing in new windows, doors, kitchens and bathrooms for more of our existing properties.
We know that our role as landlord goes beyond getting the basics right and that for some residents a little extra support can be needed. The report highlights how we have launched our new Foundations 4 Work scheme to help residents find and sustain employment and our Compassionate Neighbours project to reduce loneliness.
We continue to listen to residents and we will use this feedback to improve our services. This year we completed our first big door knock. We know that our repairs service is the one of the most important services we provide and the report highlights how we will continue working to deliver routine repairs more quickly.
