We’re checking the condition of our housing stock so we can plan for maintenance over the next five years and longer.

A ‘stock condition survey’ is something we do regularly and we work with Savills, a trusted firm of surveyors to make general inspections on a selection of properties.

During January, surveyors are visiting a selection of our homes around the area and if you’re at home when they call, please let them in.

If you’re out when the surveyor visits, they’ll leave a contact card so you can arrange a convenient time that suits you. Please remember that without a survey, we can’t plan or budget for any work that may need doing, so your support in giving us access is important for the upkeep of your home.

The visit takes about 30 minutes and doesn’t involve moving furniture or lifting carpets.

You don't need to book an appointment and the surveyors will pick a selection of homes at random, so don't worry if you don't have a visit.


All surveyors will be wearing a Savills identification badge and carry a letter of authority from us. If you’ve any worries about their identity just call us on 0330 343 0016 and we’ll check the schedule. They can’t note or carry out repairs on our behalf so if there’s anything you want to make us aware of, you can report a repair on the Your Account section of our website, send an email to customer.service@www.settlegroup.org.uk or call us on 0330 343 0016.
