The Princes Trust runs free courses for anybody up to the age of 25. It offers different levels of support and courses include:
- Team - A 12-week course that gives you practical skills, self-belief and help with getting a job.
- Get into - Intensive training and at least a week's work experience in a specific sector including retail, security, hospital services, airport, railway and many others
- Get Started - Intensive week of activities to develop skills, build confidence and have fun
- Explore Enterprise - For young people aged 18 – 30 years old, this is a four-day workshop to explore a business idea or self-employment. Grants and mentoring are available in some circumstances.
Barclays LifeSkills - Gain help on line through this web page by using their interactive tools and resources to write your CV, prepare for interviews and understand your finances.
Barclays Eagles - Tea and teach sessions are held across the UK. They’re free and can help you build skills to use computers and the internet.
Hertfordshire Library - Library members can use computers for free and there will often be a volunteer IT champion who may be able to help. For more information contact your local library.
The Minority Ethnic Forum - in Hitchin offers digital courses for beginners through to the more advanced. Contact the forum direct for more information.
Parents with children under 5 years old

The Minority Ethnic Forum – Courses include IT and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Visit the website for information on the training courses available or telephone 01462 440224.
North Hertfordshire College – Boosting reading, writing and numeracy skills for adults. Most of these courses are free. Also NHC offers ESOL courses but a charge may apply subject to eligibility. Call the college on 01462 424242 to find out more.
