Residents help choose new kitchen and bathroom contract

Voice of the Resident members have been reviewing tenders for our next kitchen planned investment programme.

Between 2024 and 2028, settle will be carrying out investment work to existing homes that require a kitchen or bathroom replacement.

Some of our Voice of the Resident panel members worked alongside Clive Charters, Asset Manager and Ben Browne, Asset Operations Manager to discuss the tenders and responses from seven suppliers hoping to be awarded the contract.

Resident Helen said: “The day was extremely interesting and enlightening. Being able to see first hand what the different companies can offer was great as both a panel member and resident.

There were noticeable differences between the services which at times made it difficult to choose, but also it was easy to spot those that maybe couldn’t offer all that would be necessary.”

Clive said: “The residents brought a different perspective to the way the scoring was marked. It was definitely an efficient and worthwhile way to assess the tenders.”

Ben agreed saying: “It was certainly helpful seeing things through residents’ eyes.”

The contract will be awarded and the supplier in place during the next four months.
