Current scam calls: damp and mould claims
There are always scam callers trying to get hold of personal details or make money out of someone else’s worries.
Often the callers claim to be from a recognised organisation or government body like the Police or Housing Ombudsman.
Please be vigilant of any calls you receive and if something doesn’t seem right – just hang up.
If you receive an automated call with a recorded message, never select an option to be connected to a random person. Just hang up.
If you get an unexpected call or don’t recognise a number, it’s best to hang up and then call the person yourself on a known, published number. That way you’re in control of who you are talking to.
