Pay by Link coming soon
From early August, residents will have access to a new, quick and easy way to make payments to Settle through Pay by Link. This additional payment method will allow payments to be made securely using either a mobile phone or laptop.
The person making the payment will receive a link via text message, email, or as a QR code – if a Settle colleague visits you in person.
When the user clicks the link or scans the QR code, a secure screen will open showing the payment details – including the type of payment, amount, and reference.
You can then enter your card details to complete the payment safely. (Don’t worry – Settle doesn’t store any card information.) In some cases, you’ll be able to adjust the amount to better suit your current situation.
This new process brings together several types of payments – including rent, shared ownership sign-up packs, and TV licenses – into one simple and secure system, making it clearer and convenient for residents.
