We’re delighted to launch the Settle Community Benefit Fund – a new grants programme to support projects that will directly benefit Settle households and communities.

We have £50,000 in total to support projects designed by residents, for residents. This money has been raised from proceeds from right-to-buy sales that Settle reinvests straight back into local communities.

The fund offers grants of £250–£3,000 to resident groups, community organisations, CICs and registered charities.

We’re looking for projects that help people feel supported at home and in their neighbourhoods. Successful projects should fit at least one of our key themes:

  • Community wellbeing – activities that support vulnerable groups, improve health and wellbeing, or create inclusive spaces.
  • Safety and sustainability – projects that make communities safer, greener, and more sustainable.
  • Opportunities – training, education, digital inclusion, employment, or greener technology.

Who can apply?

Anyone connected to the community including residents, local groups, charities, or clubs, as long as at least half of those who benefit are Settle residents.

Linsay Baverstock, Head of People & Resident Experience, says:

The Community Benefit Fund is a brand-new initiative for Settle, designed to put residents at the heart of change. We know the best ideas come from the people who live in our communities every day. I’m really excited to see the creativity and passion from our residents – and to support projects that will make a real difference.
