Settle complete two phases of 119 affordable homes at The Gates – Houghton Regis
We are proud to announce the successful completion of phases one and two of The Gates development in the Bidwell area of Houghton Regis, Central Bedfordshire.
New residents have already started moving in. Funded by Homes England with support for Central Bedfordshire Council, the site when complete will deliver 119 high-quality new homes.
Delivered across five phases, The Gates includes 45 homes for social rent and 74 homes available through shared ownership, offering secure, sustainable living for families and individuals. All homes are expected to be completed before the beginning of 2026.
The development has been designed with both community and environmental sustainability at its core. Key features include communal electric vehicle (EV) charging points, a dedicated children’s play area, and generous green spaces. The scheme also enhances a section of the Chiltern Way footpath.
