Fire door safety checks and action where needed
We regularly review fire safety measures in blocks of flats as part of our responsibility to keep your home safe.
We’re currently checking that all fire doors perform to the highest fire safety standards and where necessary, we’ll make any adjustments we can at the same time.
The work will be carried out during November and December by our team of contractors from JPS Fire and Security Ltd, Keystone Fire Safety Ltd, and Pioneer Fire and Security.
You may also see Settle operatives in your block carrying out this work. Everyone will have photo ID and any work will be done as quickly as possible.
If the teams need access to your flat while they are in your block, they’ll knock on your door to arrange a convenient time directly with you. They will only need access to both sides of your entrance door. They will not need to enter further into your flat.
Important information for homeowners
Although homeowners are responsible for their own fire-safe flat entrance door, as the landlord, Settle must check and record its findings as part of our legal responsibility. As this is a critical safety check and our primary concern is the safety of all residents, we will make any minor adjustments needed at no cost to you.
