Work starts on new development in Potters Bar

We’re delighted to see work begin on our new development with Hertsmere Borough Council. The all-affordable development, on the site of the former Green Man pub in Potters Bar, will provide 19 one and two-bed properties – 14 for shared ownership and 5 for rent.

The former pub building will be converted into a ground-floor commercial unit and shared ownership flat, with the other homes provided in a new building on the same site.

The scheme has been supported by grant funding from Homes England. We expect the homes to be available from summer next year.

Chief executive of settle, Gavin Cansfield, joined Councillor Jean Heywood, Hertsmere Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Housing and Transport, on Tuesday 14 October to mark work getting underway on site. Gavin said “I’m delighted to be working with partners at Hertsmere Borough Council on our first development in this area. It is great to see work progressing well on site. I look forward to delivering these much-needed affordable new homes soon.”
