Faster and more convenient
As well as saving paper and costing less; emails are more convenient and immediate than letters through the post. You might have noticed that we’ve already started sending some of our shorter letters as an email.
Secure delivery of your letters
Because some letters like your rent statement include your personal and financial information, from April we’re going to use a secure web service, where you can login and view these types of documents.
When a new document is available, we’ll send you an email with a link to view it securely in the web service. Not everything will be sent to the secure web service. We’ll continue to send shorter letters as an email so you can instantly see the content.
Who will get letters by email?
If we’ve got an up-to-date email address for the main tenant in your home, they’ll start to see many of our shorter letters as an email.
If you’re not sure what email address we’ve got for you, you can either:
• Login to your settle website account and go to the my personal details page
• Register for an account using your current email address
• Or call us on 0330 343 0016.
What if I don’t have an email address or want to keep receiving paper letters?
If we don’t have an email address for the main or joint tenant in your home, we’ll continue to send you paper correspondence like we do now. Even if we have an email address for you, you’ll be able to opt for paper if you prefer. We’ll provide details of how to do that in the new year.
